Family Room
The Coastal Family Room
Rattan, rope and stone, for a house near the water.
The design note
A family room near the water should feel easy the moment you walk in. This one leans on natural texture: woven rattan, rope, natural fiber and stone.
A deep sectional seats the whole family. Two rattan chairs turn toward the view or the conversation. The coffee table is a single sculptural piece, solid enough in look to hold the center of the room.
One woven pendant, one natural-fiber rug, and the room is done.
Up close
Rattan and stone, the two materials that never mind sand, sun or a wet towel.
